UPCOMING BURIALS

Public Gathering Restrictions for Burials have not been lifted.

The following requests for Military Honors and inurnment burials are awaiting final approval by ABMC and CFZ for the following fallen Comrades:

Case # 21-33 Rodney Paul Croberek, MSgt, U.S. Army Retired,

VFW Post 2485 Honor Guard will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of Clark Veterans Cemetery at CFZ in Angeles City, Pampanga. Following Military Honors, he will be laid to rest with an inurnment burial at Clark Veterans Cemetery (CVC) at CFZ in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Case # 21-34 Lafayette Donaldson, MSgt, U.S. Air Force Retired,

VFW Post 2485 Honor Guard will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. Following Military Honors, he will be laid to rest with an inurnment burial in CVC.

Case # 21-38 Donald Lee Schulze, MSgt, U.S. Air Force Retired,

VFW Post 2485 Honor Guard will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. Following Military Honors, he will be laid to rest with an inurnment burial in CVC.

The following request for Military Honors is awaiting Final Approval by ABMC and CFZ for the following comrade:

Case # 21-30 Robert Neil Potts, SMSgt, U.S. Air Force Retired

VFW Post 2485 will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. He was laid to rest with an interment burial on  April 10, 2021 in CVC.

However, once the Restrictions is lifted the following requirements by ABMC and VA for all interment and inurnment burials will be required:

a. No more than twenty-five (25) family members may attend.

b. All attendees must maintain the required social distancing guidelines.

c. All attendees must wear face mask.

The following requests for burial with Military Honors are awaiting family submission of missing documents for approval by ABMC & CFZ with an inurnment burial in CVC on the following comrades:

Case # 20-IC-19 Cesar O. Noble, CWO-4 U.S. Army Retired,

VFW Post 2485 will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. He will be laid to rest with an inurnment burial in CVC. Awaiting submission of documents from Luna, La Union Philippines.

Case # 21-IC-18 Thomas Lee Monk, U.S. Army Veteran,

VFW Post 2485 will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. He will be laid to rest with an inurnment burial in CVC. Awaiting submission of documents from Dumaguete, Philippines.

VFW Post 2485 will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. He was laid to rest with an inurnment burial in a local cemetery in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Fallen Comrades’ Don Allen Dinio SSG US Army and George Kim CSM US Army Retired are related by marriage and will have a Joint rendering of Military Honors at the Hall of Flags at CVC.

Case # 21-45 Keith Eugene Christiansen, U.S. Army Veteran,

VFW Post 2485 will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. He was laid to rest with an interment burial in a local cemetery in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Case # 20-IC-15 James Oliverio Chavez, CSM, U.S. Army Retired,

VFW Post 2485 will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. Following Military Honors, he will be laid to rest with an inurnment burial in a local cemetery.

Case # 21-IC-19 Lewis Brown Nunnally, U.S. Air Force Retired,

VFW Post 2485 will render Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. Following Military Honors, he Comrade will be laid to rest with an inurnment burial in a local cemetery in Balintawak, Quezon City.

The U.S. Embassy ACS is currently working on the following comrades’ cases. The Caseworker is trying every legal way to find the following comrade for burial:

Case # 21-17 Michael Edward Maas, U.S. Army Veteran,  

On March 3, 2021, VFW Post 2485 Honor Guard rendered Military Honors at the Hall of Flags (Gate 1) Area of CVC. He is & was approved for burial on February 19, 2021 by ABMC and CFZ for an internment burial. However, the Yumul Funeral Home in San Fernando, refuses to release his remains for a proper burial & refuses to say where the remains are. It has not been confirmed, but the feeling is that Yumul Funeral Home has cremated him, or possibly they may have buried him in an unmarked grave as an unclaimed Indigent Foreign in a Public Cemetery in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Due to Legal Issues, the following Comrades are on hold by ACS for burial with Military Honors:

The following Fallen Comrade is on hold by ACS due to having no Next of Kin here in the Philippines, or locating any relatives in the U.S.:

Case # 21-35 Quincy Bernard, U.S. Military Veteran, Awaiting authorization & release by ACS to claim the comrade for burial.
