Father time has vanished into history The year 2025 was a year of discontent and a nation more divided, in my humble opinion, than anytime than the American civil war when brother was killing brother and family was killing family for their feelings toward slavery. We are all familiar with President Lincoln’s Gettysburg address, but I wonder how many are aware of what President Lincoln stated in his short second inaugural address on 4 March 1865. I would encourage everyone to read that short President Lincoln address. Again, in my humble opinion, this adds a different perspective on the President’s ability to read the American public’s feelings during and after the civil war.

We are all Americans and my first prayer is that America will come together and do what is good for the country, not for individual personal reward.

My two personal selections for the best American presidents have been Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy. I have now added President Abraham Lincoln and Donald J. Trump to my list. All four of these presidents put the United States of America before their personal desires. Unfortunately, President Lincoln and President Kennedy were assassinated and an attempt to kill President Trump was made due to dissent. I encourage everyone to do diligent research prior to making a decision on anything, especially on the political side. There is a lot of misinformation on the internet and many of the apps used. This is not a Republican or Democrat issue; it is an American issue.

My second prayer is that all Vietnam veterans and their loved ones be blessed by the LORD and be remembered in all prayers.

My third prayer is that all freedom warriors and their families be blessed as the LORD said that blessed are the peacekeepers, for they shall inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

GOD bless all of us, our families and the United States of America on this 250th anniversary of our country.
