Demonstration Alert – Protest Activity in the Philippines
Location: Various locations in the Philippines
Event: Following the launch of combat operations in Iran, Americans worldwide are advised to remain vigilant, maintain heightened situational awareness, and practice good personal security measures. Demonstrations may take place in the Philippines, including in the vicinity of the U.S. embassy.
Actions to Take:
U.S. citizens should avoid political demonstrations. Foreign nationals found engaging in a protest could be considered in violation of their immigration status.
Exercise caution when in the vicinity of any large gatherings, as even peaceful rallies/demonstrations have the potential to turn violent without warning. Follow instructions from local authorities.
Follow local media and government sources for updates on possible public demonstrations, including information on disruptions to traffic or public services.
