U.S. Department of State: Consular Affairs
Israel, the West Bank and Gaza: Due to the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, Home Front Command has lifted all restrictions, and the U.S. Embassy will be open as usual on June 25. The shelter in place orders for U.S. government employees and their family members has been lifted.
U.S. government employees and their family members are restricted from travel outside the greater Tel Aviv (including Herzliya, Netanya, and Even Yehuda), Jerusalem, and Beโer Sheva areas until further notice. Transit between these three areas, including to and from Ben Gurion Airport, is authorized. Transiting Route 1 to and from Allenby Bridge is also permitted.
The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem will resume its normal regularly scheduled U.S. passport and Consular Report of Birth Abroad appointments on Wednesday, June 25. We will accept walk-ins (no appointment necessary) for U.S. citizens needing a limited-validity, emergency passport in both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv for those in line before 8:30AM. Visa operations will resume in both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv on Monday, June 30.
Ben Gurion Airport Open: U.S. citizens should check for availability of seats on El Al, Arkia, and Israir as they will be operating immediately. Given the demand for seats on flights departing Israel, it may take some time to find seats available for purchase.

U.S. citizens seeking to depart Israel or the West Bank should take the first available option, even if it is not your first choice of destination.
The U.S. Embassy is aware that third parties are assisting U.S. citizens in departing Israel overland to Jordan and Egypt and by sea to Cyprus. While we are not able to endorse any providers, we know some have been able to successfully help U.S. citizens.
The Department of State is continuing to operate limited assisted departure flights from Israel. U.S. citizens or LPRs seeking U.S. govโt assistance to depart should complete this form (if they havenโt done so already): https://mytravel.state.gov/s/crisis-intake.
Land crossings to Jordan are currently operating and are scheduled to be open again on Monday through Friday (hours and detailed info in full alert). Expect long lines and delays. While it is not explicitly illegal to bring Jewish religious items into Jordan, the U.S. Embassy has received reports that travelers carrying such items have encountered delays. Travelers may wish to consider not carrying such items with them into Jordan.
Flights are available from Jordan on a limited basis. Please check with your airline and expect delays and cancelations.
The land crossing to Egypt at Taba is also operating and is open 24 hours a day. There are international flights available at Sharm el Sheikh. Details in full alert.
This alert is provided for your information as you make your own security plans.
The U.S. Embassy reminds U.S. citizens of the continued need for caution and increased personal security awareness โ including knowing the location of the nearest shelter in the event of a red alert as security incidents, such as mortar, rocket, and missile fire, and unmanned aircraft system (UAS) intrusions, often take place without any warning. The security environment is complex and can change quickly.
